Remnant 2: What to Do with Plain Ribbon

Oct 07, 2023

Players that have obtained the Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2's world of Losomn can find details on how to use this Quest Item here.

The Plain Ribbon is Quest Item in Remnant 2 that can appear on a number of maps within the world of Losomn. While players should have little trouble obtaining this item, as it is not very well hidden, they may be confused about what to do with it once they have it in their inventories. This guide is here to alleviate that confusion, and details on how to use the Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2 can be found in what follows.

After collecting the Plain Ribbon, players should search their current map for a statue of two Faes holding hands. Soulslike fans should then interact with that statue and select the Plain Ribbon to wrap the item around the Faes' wrists. When that is done, players should leave their current map, enter it again, and return to the statues, and they will find that the Ribbon has transformed into an item that they can collect.

More specifically, the Plain Ribbon will have become either the Silver Ribbon or the Golden Ribbon when Remnant 2 players return to the statues, and here are details on those two amulets:

With respect to how the amulet that is awarded is determined, it is seemingly contingent upon the version of Losomn in which the Fae statues appear. Indeed, there are essentially two Losomns, a light and a dark, and completing this event on a light map awards the Golden Ribbon, while completing it on a dark map awards the Silver Ribbon. Players that find the statues in the Council Chambers or Gilded Chambers should thus expect to receive the Golden Ribbon, while those that find them in the Great Hall or Shattered Gallery will receive the Silver Ribbon.

One final thing to mention is that Nimue, an NPC that appears in Nimue's Retreat on Losomn, can combine the Golden and Silver Ribbons in order to create Nimue's Ribbon. This amulet increases Relic Healing Effectiveness by 50% and grants haste for 25 seconds when a Relic is activated, and players that have been fortunate enough to obtain both ribbons may want to pursue it. That said, fans of dark action RPGs should be aware of the fact that the Golden and Silver Ribbons will be consumed during the crafting process.

Remnant 2 is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
