HOBOKEN, N.J. (August 30, 2023) – The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics is proud to announce the return of "Duck Country" for the 2023-24 academic year.

During "Duck Country" games, everyone in the Stevens community – students, faculty and staff, parents and fans – is encouraged to rally around our athletic teams to help create a unique home-field advantage for our student-athletes. Stevens' athletic teams have historically been very successful in Hoboken, and with the addition of "Duck Country", the hope is that it will be even tougher for opponents to win in the Mile Square City. The first "Duck Country" game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16.

"The Duck Country concept has a fun history at Stevens and dates back many years ago," Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics & Recreation Russ Rogers stated. "I am excited to bring it back as we want to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for all members of the Stevens community to come out and support our outstanding teams and student-athletes."

Special "Duck Country" shirts will be given out in various locations throughout campus in early September while supplies last. Please check the various Stevens Athletics media outlets for more information on the shirt giveaways in the coming days. Fans will be encouraged to wear these shirts during designated home events to display school spirit. Each "Duck Country" game will also feature giveaways and contests, which will be announced at a later date.

Duck Country games will take place on the following dates:

In addition to the return of "Duck Country," the opening of a brand-new student section called "The Pond" has been announced, where students will be encouraged to sit during home events to cheer the Ducks on to victory. "The Pond" will be marked inside Canavan Arena with new signage and will be unveiled at the women's volleyball match against FDU-Florham on Tuesday, September 26 at 7 p.m.
